VACATION IN AMERICA (5 PART SERIES) - Part 2: Activities

ACTIVITIES

In the more popular areas of the country such as Los Angeles you will find a lot of deals and vendors that offer discounts and promotions through which you can purchase tickets, but at a discount.  The sites you should visit are:
www.groupon.com
www.livingsocial.com
www.yelp.com
(for those of you with kids) www.plumdistrict.com

Or, you can check out YIPIT, website that consolidates deals information from all of the above sites so that you can search just once.

(However, be advised, I am not recommending their "Disney special" or vacation deals.  I cannot recommend something I have never used and I am of the opinion, if it sounds too good to be true, it is probably not true.  The difference between the fantastic stays the above companies are offering and what I am saying you can get is that my system is a strategy and it requires some work on your part.)

So, let me give you an example.  I went onto Living Social just now and found a random tour of Hollywood by City Safari Hollywood.  One adult ticket was $27.

However, if I were to purchase the tickets directly from City Safari Hollywood, it would cost $39.  That is $12 extra dollars.  If there is 4 in your group, that is an extra $48.

So, for the same money, I will not only go do the tour but I will be able to take my family out for dinner afterwards.  [You will see by my blog section on "FOOD" below that the $48 can either completely cover or help you cover a reasonably nice meal.]

Click the following to take you to "Part 3: Food," the next section in this series.  Or, if you would like to see a complete list of the series, click the following to get you back to the "VACATION IN AMERICA WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE" page.
